"Talking with Children about Trauma" Seminar
Gone are the days when trauma and disaster were infrequent events. The advent of new technologies brings the unsettling events into our homes in ways that were never before possible. News reports and social media can make us feel as if we were actually present at the time of the event. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to completely protect your child from these sights and sounds. Instead, we need to prepare our children to cope with the emotions, questions, and concerns that result. This workshop will provide practical strategies that parents can use to bolster children’s skills in coping with traumatic events.
