"Raising an Emotionally Resilient Child" Seminar If your child has no problem revving up into a full-blown tantrum but seems to have difficulty getting his/her emotions back in check, then this workshop is for you. Children don’t come into the world with the ability to manage their emotions. It is a skill to be learned during the course of development. As with any skill, some kids take to it right away and others need a little more support. Emotion regulation skills are an essential component of overall psychological well-being. A lack of these skills can result in the use of substances or a reliance on other people to manage one’s own mood and affect. In this workshop, parents will be provided with practical techniques to develop and refine emotion regulation skills in children.
